Happy Valentines to _________?

Baby Update

Hello Family,
Sorry for leaving you all in the dark. We thought maybe last Sunday labor was starting. After talking to the doctor last Monday and being monitored in labor and delivery, they sent me home saying "not yet."

Found out yesterday that the planned c-section is next Tuesday the 16th at 7:30am MST. The phone number for the hospital is 801-285-4000. So please feel free to call, I'll probably be there until Saturday the 20th.

We think his name might be Xander Matthew Evans. We're excited to see him. Trenton told me today "baby come out, play with toys." So I think he is starting to get the idea. He will be a very good big brother, he loves babies.

Love and miss all of you!!!

Thought I would share this story.....

So my parents live in Southern California and now my Dad is a hero! He was always a hero to me, but this is really awesom! He works for Verizon and while working heard a loud dog bark. After looking around he discovered a dog stuck in a man hole. Here's the newspaper story, unfortunately they didn't name my Dad, but he is the one who found the dog, helped pump out the water, and put air in the underground vault to help keep the dog alive till rescue workers came.

Dog rescued from Romoland manhole

A dog that, as a pup, survived a house fire that killed her parents and siblings was rescued Friday by firefighters after another close call -- two days trapped in water under a manhole in Romoland.

Verizon workers heard barking and whimpering about 1:15 p.m. in a utility vault near Sherman Road and Highway 74, Capt. Rick Griggs of the Riverside County Fire Department said.

Firefighters used a video camera to locate Diamond, a 2-year-old Akita/pit bull mix, 10 feet down. They pumped out water that had flooded the vault and rescued the hungry and frightened, but apparently uninjured, dog, Griggs said.
